Mars Folding Fat-Tire Electric Bike

Heybike

Heybike Mars is a folding e-bike with a 48Volt 12.5 Ampher Hour battery and a 500Watt brushless motor. It may not have the same heft or storage space as a traditional bike, but it is just as comfortable, stable, and can handle a huge range of terrain. Thanks to the front suspension fork and 20-inch fat tires, it can handle rough roads and trails better than any other bike with 26-inch tires.

Performance review

The Heybike Mars bike is a lightweight, affordable bike with a foldable design. Almost ready to use out of the box, all you need to do is tighten a few parts, and you’ll be ready for your first ride. This foldable, two-wheeled bike provides high-quality riding around town at a cost-effective price point. One big plus for this bike is how sturdy it is. The rear rack can hold up to 100 pounds. So even my son can sit on the back without any problem.

The Mars is the most comfortable folding bike we’ve ever used. It has 20-inch fat tires and an adjustable suspension fork, so I can ride on rough surfaces without jarring my bottom. This bike also makes riding on uneven terrain easier because of its fat wheel configuration. The combination of the fat tires and the suspension gives you a really smooth ride.

HeyBike is a quality fat-tire electric bike with a sturdy aluminum frame and large, durable off-road tires. It can be folded down in half for easy storage and transport. I was generally impressed with the size of the HeyBike, as it fits snugly into my car trunk without folding down the seats. However, I struggled to carry the 66-pound bike up or down my narrow stairs because all parts were quite heavy. The heavy parts also make folding and unfolding a little slow.

With a 500W geared hub motor, you get better performance on tighter spaces and low speeds, as well as more power when peddling with a 7-speed Shimano drivetrain that will give you a max speed of 20mph. A single charge provides 20- to 46-mile of riding. There are also 3 levels of pedal assistance, plus a throttle mode, to help you find a suitable speed. If you run out of juice, you don’t wanna be too far from home because pedaling this bike without the moor is quite a workout.

This bicycle offers excellent features such as a battery lock for the removable battery and a USB port so you can use it while on the go to charge your mobile devices.

The Mars is impressive in almost every aspect, but it is still not a perfect bike. We don’t really like the pedal assistance at low speeds. It still gives you a power boost even when you set the pedal assistance at level 1. The surprised sudden speed boost can still surprise you. This behavior is caused by the cadence sensor used on most budget e-bikes on the market.

Final Word

After testing the Heybike Mars for sometimes lengthy periods in the neighborhood, this affordable fat-tire e-bike proved reliable. However, as people naturally tire after extensive travel, they recommended that I make it easier on myself and walk more to diversify my movements–a suggestion I followed.
