#1. Electric Mountain Bike From Ancheer

Best Bang for Your Buck

Best Value

The Ancheer Power Plus electric mountain bike packs a surprising punch for such a small bike. Its sturdy aluminum alloy frame is rigid and responsive, while the suspension fork and seat are soft-rolling but comfortable. It has an impressive range of approximately 35 miles with the battery fully charged, and it has a top throttle speed of 15mph.

The Ancheer Power Plus electric mountain bike is a newcomer to the electric mountain bike competition. We were intrigued by the 250Watt rear hub motor, paired with a 36Volt 8Ampher Hour battery. Considering the bike’s retail price, we were surprised to find that it performed exceedingly well to other models at this price range.
It has an impressive range of approximately 35 miles with the battery fully charged, and it has a top throttle speed of 15mph. Its 250Watt rear hub motor packs a surprising punch for such a small bike, accelerating with authority at any speed.
Its sturdy aluminum alloy frame is rigid and responsive, while the suspension fork and seat are soft-rolling but comfortable. Ancheer has also added the convenience of a removable battery, allowing riders to carry a spare with them and to charge it when they aren’t in use.
While we loved the value for money offered, we were somewhat disappointed by some of the features included in this mountain bike, such as the headlight, which we found to be quite dim.
And as it isn’t a folding model, it can’t be folded for storage or transport. While it does have a suspension fork, we feel this would be a poor choice for those riders who do a lot of offroad riding.
Additionally, the tires are not the best for off-road use; we found them to be quite susceptible to puncturing. That said, for the price, we feel this is an excellent electric mountain bike.

#3. Mars Folding Fat-Tire Electric Bike From Heybike

Best Folding Option

Top Pick

Heybike Mars is a folding e-bike with a 48Volt 12.5 Ampher Hour battery and a 500Watt brushless motor. It may not have the same heft or storage space as a traditional bike, but it is just as comfortable, stable, and can handle a huge range of terrain. Thanks to the front suspension fork and 20-inch fat tires, it can handle rough roads and trails better than any other bike with 26-inch tires.

The Heybike Mars provides a unique experience amongst the numerous folding e-bikes on the market. While it may not have the same heft or storage space as a traditional bike, it is just as comfortable, stable, and can handle a huge range of terrain. Thanks to the front suspension fork and 20-inch fat tires, it can handle rough roads and trails better than any other bike with 26-inch tires.
It is equipped with a 48Volt 12.5 Ampher Hour battery and a 500Watt brushless motor. Heybike has built this model in an intuitive and very user-friendly folding design. While it is easy enough to unfold and store when not in use, the folding process still takes a little time to do.
And since the frame has to be folded in half, there is a lot of weight on the bike, which makes it a bit cumbersome to carry. While the performance is excellent, the Heybike Mars may not be for everyone. The suspension fork does add some comfort, but you probably won’t feel it as smooth as another bike that can handle rougher trails.
Nevertheless, this is still a very comfortable bike that anyone from 5′ 3″ to 6′ 3″ would be proud to ride.

#4. Cybertrack 100, Electric Mountain Bike From Aostirmotor

Best for Beginners

Top Pick

The Metakoo Cybertrack 100 is the go-to bike for beginner e-bike riders. It accelerates very smoothly, has a large 21-speed transmission, and is equipped with a 250Watt rear hub motor. It cannot compete with the professional-grade Santa Cruzes Bikes, but it certainly gives the rider a chance to enjoy the trails without aching legs and knees.

  • 375Wh Battery
  • Detachable Battery

Just a few years ago, it would have been unthinkable for most to ever consider purchasing an electric mountain bike. Then along came the Metakoo Cybertrack 100. This is the go-to bike for beginner riders who are looking to get their feet wet in e-biking. The Cybertrack accelerates very smoothly, has a large 21-speed transmission, and is equipped with a 250Watt rear hub motor.
It provides a nice blend of stability, maneuverability, and performance at a relatively reasonable price. It has a large 375Watt hour battery that we found to be more than adequate for trail riding. It has a comfortable, upright seated position, rigid frame, and knobbier tires that we really like.
It also comes with a detachable battery that is quick-charging. While it is no Rocky Mountain bike, it does have some downhill capabilities, and just about everyone will be able to use it for trail riding and fitness purposes.
It cannot compete with the professional-grade Santa Cruzes Bikes, but it certainly gives the rider a chance to enjoy the trails without aching legs and knees.
There is much to praise the Cybertrack for its efficiency, but it is still a mountain bike and should be regarded as such. It is designed for the average adult rider, and has a max weight capacity of around 300lbs.
It is a great option for the commuter, as well as an electric mountain bike for family trips.

It has the highest value for your money of all the models that we have reviewed and the features it boasts are quite impressive. The Ancheer has a sturdy aluminum alloy frame that is lightweight and can easily be folded for storage or transport.
The battery provides 36Volt and 8Ampher hours of power that you can use to pedal the entire thing or to assist as you pedal. It has a rear suspension that helps the bike handle rough terrain better than most other models and provides for a comfortable ride.
It can support riders weighing up to 150 kilograms and has decent ergonomics with a comfortable saddle and a natural body position. The folding design also makes it easier to transport. While we loved most things about the Ancheer, it is still a bit heavy.
It weighs a whopping 60 pounds even when folded. This weight makes it a bit of a pain when trying to move it around town or when transporting it in your car. It is also quite expensive. That said, we feel that it is a quality bike that is worth every penny. It is an electric bike after all and if you are looking for the occasional e-bike, we highly recommend the Ancheer.
You can’t go wrong with this high-value model.
